INTRODUCTION
Crisis management is an effort at ensuring that victims of crisis are made to suffer less during the period the crisis lasted, and period at the aftermath when the crisis occurred. Crisis most times comes unannounced and unexpectedly. Thus, victims of such crisis tend to suffer many losses. It is to ensure that pains are prevented that adequate crisis management is advocated. Crisis management is not only attributed to government or its agency handling national crisis, organizations and even family members have one way or the other to utilize crisis management when they occur.Crises come in varying dimension; some are manageable while some are colossal leading to great damage. Some crises are complex in nature which requires cognitive tasking that is beyond the human brain to process the subject matters. For others the effect maybe less tightly coupled and they tend to be temporal. Not all crisis have physical damaged effects, some crises may bring dent to the reputation created over the years by an individual or an organization, causing retardation to growth resulting from damaged goodwill that is built over the years (as in the case of Pepsis Syringe crisis). According to Runciman et al (1993, pg 579) “…a crisis that is based on false move may have an immediate and catastrophic consequence, where the cause-effect relationship is obvious.
